Vaikuntha Yoga Retreat

Vaikuntha is a Sanskrit word for heaven. It literally means , that place where there is no anxiety or kuntha.

I have two cottages available for weekend use here in our spiritual community known as Prabhupada Village.

Visitors to our community often comment on the tranquil atmosphere , the natural beauty and the nice experiences they’ve had with the residents here.

The Village is on 360 acres , home to cows , peacocks , rivers and about 20 families dedicated to Lord Krishna. A temple has been constructed on a hill in the center of the property.

There are functions at the temple every day that you are welcome to attend , or just to sit on the porch and watch the sun rise and listen to the nearby creek while the birds wake and begin their concert can be a celestial experience.

Some local milk is available at times , as well as organically grown produce. There is a garden at the cottages for your use . Currently lettuce , zucchini and bitter melon,(karela, an Indian specialty) are in season.

One cottage has a full kitchen , for those interested I can teach some cooking techniques .It is furnished very simply, almost Japanese style, with futons , a low table and a rocking chair. This is a very NON HOTEL experience with wooden floors , no rugs or television.

At this point I am encouraging my friends , that’s you , to stay for a weekend or so and offer what you think is fair .For example , a family of four stayed a weekend , they offered $200 for the 2 nights(they also left the place surprisingly clean) As things come more into focus , we'll have seminars and classes , more of an agenda, and a set price. You will be helping me with "market research"by staying . I will appreciate that very much and I'm confident you will as well.

I have an Ayurvedic doctor , several yoga and pranayam teachers , who have offered their services. We plan to make some type of seminar that could fill the weekend .I can teach music and kirtan ,mantra meditation , Bhagavad Gita lessons and inspirational stories from the ancient texts of India.I have contacts with some very good music teachers in India willing to come and teach and perform here.

I am calling this place Vaikuntha , which is a Sanskrit term meaning the place where there is no anxiety .That is the central theme of the project , how to live a life free of anxiety as well as to cause no anxiety to anyone else .

Please let me know what you think , I will be glad to hear from you .
